How to Put on Your Above-the-Knee Prosthetics

Compressogrip® Elastic White Shrinker

• Find the middle of the shrinker and place plastic ring there.
• Pull one end of the shrinker up over the knee to high thigh and make sure not to move the ring in the middle.
• Push plastic ring to the end of the limb.
• Attach strap around waist securely with the Velcro.
• Pull the rest of the shrinker over the limb until it reaches the other end, at high thigh/groin area.
• The shrinker will fit very snug.

Juzo® Dynamic Flesh-Tone Shrinker

• Use both hands to gather shrinker, like a sock, to the seam on the bottom and stretch it open.
• With both hands, place shrinker on the end of the limb and slowly guide the shrinker up the limb and over the knee to high thigh.
• Attach strap around waist securely with the Velcro.
• The shrinker will fit very snug.

Wearing Schedule

Wear shrinker at all times, when not wearing liner or prosthesis.

Orthotic Device Cleaning and Maintenance

Shrinker can be hand washed with mild detergent and air dried.

Important Information

Take the following precautions with your above-the-knee prosthetics:

• Remember to wear at night.
• Make sure there are no wrinkles in the shrinker.
