Andrew Slater, MSPO

Resident Prosthetist Orthotist

Wyomissing and Exton, PA

Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University of PA, where he conducted research in biomechanics and human locomotion. While shadowing a physical therapy program, he was introduced to the O&P field, which he explored further as an intern at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Andrew then worked as an orthotic fitting and clinical assistant at Ability Ottobock.care before pursuing a master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at the University of Pittsburgh. During his studies, he served as president of the Student Association and volunteered with the Range of Motion Project, developing a passion for sports and human performance.

He is now completing his residency with the Eastern PA team, eager to learn as much as he can and help patients achieve their potential. Outside of work, Andrew coaches youth soccer and enjoys golfing, going to the beach, and playing soccer, with the hope of starting an amputee/paralympic soccer team in the Eastern PA region.
